"After a pretty long time I've come across such a compelling novel -Afzal which has swept me away along with its powerful current of events. It goes on peeling off layer after layer of political, social, religious warp and woof. Things tumble down stunningly. It is all so easy and spontaneous. Afzal, in the beginning, finds the things heavy going but towards the end of the novel he undergoes a drastic change that is unbelievingly true. I can shout from the rooftops that Afzal is BRUTAL but HONEST. "
